TABNC Launches Community Web site
Oceanside Magazine – Spring 2006

The Transit Alliance for a Better North County launched a vital new Web site for San Diego North County residents and commuters. The site has been designed to provide streamlined communications to concerned residents and a convenient one-stop shop for updates on local traffic relief and mass transit issues for San Diego North County.

The community is encouraged to visit the Web site and become members of this grass roots organization. The Web site can be viewed by logging on to www.tabnc.com.

How did these organizations come about? Community leaders, businesses and residents who collectively believe our present traffic situation is one of our weakest community links in San Diego North, formed a watchdog group consisting of residents, to effectively find a way of achieving successful changes.

With the dire situation on our clogged and unfinished roadways, pending mass transit projects and improvements on the table, it was time to take a proactive stance. By informing residents of important legislation and funding issues being decided upon, we can ensure our successful mass transit future by banding together before decisions are made.

As we know most residents are busy and canít make all meetings, we are sure there are many ways you can help, and this is the beauty of this new and convenient site.

Write a letter to your congressman or local newspaper, vote on important issues, and let your voice be heard. Join a committee, serve as a liaison for your community, city, company or family, make a donation and get involved in unclogging our roadways.

The Transit Alliance for a Better North County is a non-profit grass roots organization and is a diverse, broad-based group of concerned leaders, citizens, and organizations who are energized and mobilized to educate our fellow residents and public officials about the countless benefits of public transportation.
